CNG Refueling Stations in Comilla | Images Part 1

The Comilla District is enriched with natural resources; among those Natural Gas is the main natural resource in the Greater Comilla region. Recently in August, 2013 another new field has started gas raising in Muradnagar upazila near Bakhrabad Gas Field. Due to the facility of availability of Natural Gas there are lots CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) Filling / Refueling stations has been built in Comilla district.

The image of CNG Filling / Refueling stations (including Petrol, Octane and Diesel) in this post has been taken from different places by the side of the National Dhaka - Chittagong Highway in the Comilla area between Daudkandi and Chauddagram upazila. Most of the stations are located between Comilla Cantonment and Paduar Bazar. The number of running refueling stations is huge, below are only few images of those:

Titas Upazila Comilla | Image Collection 1

The Titas upazila under Comilla district came into existence as an Upazila in 2004. Formerly the most part of the upazila was included in Daudkandi upazila. The upazila is situated on the bank of the River Titas, so it is generally believed that the upazila might have derived its name from the name of the River Titas. The upazila has an area of 109.30 sq. km or 42.20 sq. mile. It is located between 23°25' and 23°39' north latitudes and between 90°31' and 90°53' east longitudes. The upazila is bounded on the north by Homna upazila, on the east by Muradnagar upazila, on the south by Daudkandi upazila and on the west by another newly derived Meghna upazila.

As per the National Census of the Bangladesh Government – 2011 the total population of Titas upazila is 1,84,617 from which Male is 87,100 and Female is 97,517. There are total 9 (nine) Union Parishad, 138 Villages in the upazila and total 61 Mouzas.

Muradnagar Upazila Comilla | Image Collection1

The Muradnagar upazila occupies an area of 340.73 sq. km. It is located between 23°30' and 23°48' north latitudes and between 90°52' and 91°04' east longitudes. The upazila is bounded on the north by Nabinagar and Kasba upazilas of Brahmanbaria Zila, on the east by Debidwar upazila and Kasba upazila of Brahmanbaria Zila, on the south by Chandina upazila and on the west by the Homna and Daudkandi and Titas upazilas.

As per the National Census 2011 of the Bangladesh Government, Muradnagar upazila has a population of 5,23,556, which was 4,68,080 in 2001. Muradnagar has an average literacy rate of 50% (male) and 47.8 % (female).
