Britannia University (BU), Comilla established in 2012 in to provide higher education’s and research facilities at an affordable cost for the students. Under the Private University Act 2010, Britannia University was approved by the UGC (University Grants Commission) and the Ministry of Education, of Government of the Peoples' Republic of Bangladesh on November 16, 2012.

Britannia University was modeled on British & North American Universities. The main campus is located in Comilla district which is an education hub of the country. It also has two offices, one located in Dhaka and another one is in UK. The state-of-the-art facilities enhance the vibrancy of the Britannia University campus experience to make students time in BU truly one to relish. The Campus location is Paduar Bazar Bishwaroad, Comilla which is an important place in the Comilla Sadar South upazila. Dhaka – Chittagong highway and Comilla – Chandpur / Noakhali highway intersection point.
